After Storm Ciara Get Ready For Storm Dennis !!
Brits are facing a second weekend of tempestuous weather as Storm Dennis howls towards the country's shores.

Following last weekend's Storm Ciara, "danger to life" warnings have once again been issued by the Met Office.

Warnings are in place throughout the weekend, with London forecast to face the worst conditions on Sunday.

Be Careful Out There !

These storms seem more frequent in the past 5-10 years.

I think it's because in the past they was just storms... now we give them names... just as windy 30-40 years ago as it is now

Be careful when travelling folks. When using the trains, remember that if you stand too close to the platform edge you may get sucked off.

Dennis? Dennis??

Until there's a Storm Zy, it's all just white middle-age privilege innit.

Why are Storms being named?
Should be kept for Hurricanes and Cyclones.

Given they go alphabetically and alternate Male & Female I presume next week we will be cowering before Storm Edith.
Or being blown by Ernestine

OMG DRAMA.
Why do they now name and make such a big deal out of a storm? Is it because the UK thinks it's part of the US now!
Not so long ago it would have just been a storm, windy and rainy, no one was even bothered.

Totally agree Northern. Before we would just be told it is going to be a wet and fairly windy weekend. Now pictures are painted in advance that suggest we are going to be greeted by something akin to Hurricane Katrina.

Re: After Storm Ciara Get Ready For Storm Dennis !!
Nobody has mentioned Hurricanes but for this part of the world these depressions are becoming more intense by the year and spare some thought for those who are already flooded out of their homes !!!!

Storm Dennis `could be worse than Ciara´ as hundreds of homes face even more flooding !!!
